The Fitness Initiative was cut short this year(2008) due to a tornado that hit the area.  Rangers were called out to secure Wynnewood Cabin and all of its artifacts.  The cabin had been hit pretty hard and its contents were thrown over several miles.

December 2008 Middle and Eastern Tennessee fire teams met at Frozen Head State Park.  Teams assembled into teams and geared up.  In full gear, the teams proved that they could be anywhere in the park system quickly! (including the top of Frozen Head Mountain).
